Bonsai abound in most of the Thai Temples
Each china decoration is handcrafted then attached to the temple structures.
The Icons on the roofs of the temples represent the Naga, serpents that protect Buddhist structures.

The craftsmanship revealed in these structures is amazing to say the least, a definite must see at least once in your life time!

The Monks take care of all animals that wander their way!
Every structure is brilliantly clean, looks like they were built yesterday! As with most places in Thailand open to the public, the toilets are immaculate too!
The hours of labor that must go into the upkeep of these temples would beggar belief!

Hand crafted right down to each flower petal!
Many structures are heavily gilded. Thai Buddhists buy gold leaf to attach to such structures during their private rituals. It is thought to bring good luck down upon them and theirs.
A favourite spot for the tourists!
Indian style architecture is particularly obvious in the Stupa and Obelisks.
While Chinese styles are evident in some of the statues and other decorative icons.

Bronze Elephants guard the entrance. There is also a museum below the building that houses all the weapons used to defend the Kingdom over the centuries. They are something to behold!
They are not really a temples as such, but they are still a sacred places to the Thai Buddhists.
